The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, January 26 reveals Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will accompany Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to Paris.
Also coming up, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will ask Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) for another chance. Plus, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) will have good news for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). And Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will tell Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) she didn’t waste any time.
Y&R spoilers tease Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will spot Ashley with a suitcase. “I’m going to Paris to get some answers,” she’ll tell him. Jack will say this has gone on too long. “Why are you lowering yourself to even dignify his insinuations? Tucker is a liar.” But Ashley will ask Jack what if she’s the liar.

So, she’ll leave and and Traci will walk into the room. She’ll tell her brother she’s surprised Ashley’s leaving for Paris so soon. Jack will be taken aback and say he can’t believe Traci knew about it. “I think it’s a rational decision,” she’ll reply. “We should be supporting her on this.” But Jack will worry Ashley’s walking into some kind of a trap and will ask Traci to make sure Ashley doesn’t do something she may regret.
Ashley will get on the plane and once again flash back to the Paris glass smashing scene for the thousandth time. Then we’ll see a flash back of her conversation with Tucker from Tuesday’s episode. Ashley will look upset, but she’ll smile when her seat mate arrives and it’s none other than Traci. But will Ashley get the answers she’s looking for in Paris?
At the GCAC restaurant, Cole will meet with Victoria. She’ll mention her mom just visited Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and she’ll ask how his visit went. Cole will say their daughter seemed to be in good spirits. “She’s getting stronger, she’s on the road to good things, Vic.”
Meanwhile, just as she’s about to kiss Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), there’ll be a knock on Audra’s door. Not surprisingly, it’s Mister Doom and Gloom himself. Tucker will walk in and immediately suck the air out of the room with his presence. Nate will make a quick exit and tell Audra he’ll meet her downstairs. “I know that look in your eye, you’re up to something,” Tucker will say to Audra. “What?” Then he’ll swear he’s done with Ashley but Audra won’t believe him. “I don’t want to lose you,” he’ll say. “I know what I want, I want to be with you.”

But Audra will tell him he still wants Ashley and she’s not going to be his consolation prize. So, she’ll kick him out of her room. He’ll finally leave and Audra will head downstairs to meet Nate. She’ll talk about her plans for Glissade and Nate will say there’s nothing she can do, Tucker replaced his whole board with a bunch of yes men. And it’ll give Audra an idea.
At Crimson Lights. Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) will congratulate Diane on her promotion. Then Nikki will walk in and Diane will ask how she is. “You know exactly how I am Diane, so there’s no need for you to pretend that Jack didn’t tell you everything,” Nikki will reply. “You may know the truth but it’s still none of your business.” Diane will admit that Jack told her that he’s helping her through this rough time. “And when you love someone like Jack, you take the good with the past.”
But Nikki will ask even if that someone from the past is his ex-wife. “Well thank you for your sacrifice Diane, I’m grateful to have Jack by my side.” Diane will say things don’t need to be contentious between them. “If you’re struggling with your sobriety again, I’m sorry,” she’ll say. “And if you need someone in your corner, there’s no one better than Jack.” But she’ll also say she doesn’t imagine Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will like it very much. “You’re planning on holding that over my head aren’t you?” Nikki will reply.
Finally, Diane will tell Nikki she won’t betray her trust. She’ll explain that she and Jack are partners in everything, including work. Nikki will ask what she means and Diane will tell her Jack named her co-CEO of Jabot. “Very impressive Diane,” Nikki will reply. “Some might even say you didn’t waste any time.” But is Nikki right – has this been Diane’s plan all along?
